About St Agatha’s

St Agatha’s is guided by Conversion, Community and Mission: turning to Christ, building Christ-centred relationships, and sharing the Gospel through service and outreach. Rooted in the Good Samaritan tradition, we welcome all and seek to be a light in our city.

St Agatha’s is a diverse community of Catholic believers, drawn together through our Baptism to help each other grow closer to God. We foster a warm and friendly environment in which people are nourished by the Word and the Eucharist. We are guided by the Holy Spirit to spread God’s kingdom on earth through our prayer, words and actions. We promote love, peace, equality, justice, forgiveness and compassion and we seek opportunities to help others, especially through interacting with, and responding to, those who are in any way poor and disadvantaged.

Change affects everyone differently, as does grief. It’s the impact of the change, not the event itself that Seasons for Growth focuses on.

Seasons for Growth aims to strengthen the social and emotional wellbeing of adults who are dealing with significant life changes.

Seasons for Growth adult program is for anyone (+18yrs) who is living with the effects of change and loss. Events that lead to change, loss and grief can be so varied. This includes but is not limited to, the loss of someone or something you love, family separation and divorce, permanent loss of licence, chronic illness and its effect on self and carers, moving to a new place, migration, family work-life changes, loss of employment, empty-nesters, adapting to retired life and loss of relationships.

The program considers the physical, emotional, social and mental aspects of grief. The spiritual dimension offers meaning for living and brings hope for the future. The program is for any adult regardless of their spiritual journey.
